The Internet ITS Consortium is acting to accomplish the following 3 objectives:
- To create a development scenario for the social infrastructure of Internet ITS
- To develop, popularize and standardize Internet ITS technology
- To incubate new business

| Platform specifications planning: Drawing up of open platform specifications to support Internet ITS |
| Field verification: Implementation of experimental testing to confirm popularization of applications and services |
| Standardization: Promotion of a standardized global Internet ITS specification |
